Got a call from a woman saying she was from Amazon, telling me my Prime subscription was about to run out today. Problem is, the number I picked up on isn’t linked to any Amazon account of mine. I decided to humour her for a bit just to see what the angle was. Soon enough, she tried to persuade me to install some app that would let her take over my phone. That’s when I ended the call. Definitely seemed like a clever scam to grab my bank info.
