I got a call from a bloke saying he was from Sky, telling me they were checking the internet speed in my area and upgrading the router settings. He wanted me to download some kind of support app on my phone so he could "fix" things remotely. Never once did he say my name or ask for any verification. It smelled like a scam to me. I rang Sky afterwards and they said they don’t do calls like that at all. So watch out, it’s dodgy!
