Got a call from someone claiming to be with the NHS doing a survey about Covid. They asked if my GP had offered me the jab yet and wanted to confirm my postcode. When I told them I hadn’t been offered a vaccination and that their postcode was wrong, they asked for my new postcode. I wasn’t about to give it out, told them my GP already has my details if they need to get in touch. When I said, "sounds like a scam to me," they just hung up straight away! Funny thing is, I actually work for the NHS and have had both doses already! Just a heads up for everyone, watch out for these scam calls.

Your actual GP practice is the only one that’ll reach out about covid vaccinations, not some random scammer trying to scam you!

Got a call saying it was the NHS wanting to book me in for a Covid vaccine. At first it sounded legit, asking if I’d had any recent colds or coughs, then about the flu jab and when I got it. I’ve had a few calls from someone claiming to be with the NHS. They kept asking about symptoms and stuff. I went along with it a bit, just to see where it was going, and then they started asking about my medical insurance. That’s when I realised it was a scam for sure, not a real NHS call! I didn’t give them any info, but they were really pushy when I tried to end the call nicely. They even mentioned ringing 111 for emergencies, trying to keep me on the line. I got a call like that too, some bloke pretending to be from the NHS. I warned him I was recording everything because he was fibbing about working for the NHS and just wanted to peddle insurance and grab personal details. It’s horrible how they target vulnerable folks by playing on their fears. Proper low, honestly. Would love to see them caught, but probably won’t happen since it’s likely a call centre overseas, maybe India, even though the number shows up as local.
