I received a voicemail warning me that HMRC would take legal steps against me right away unless I got in touch with them about some tax issue. I’m pretty certain there’s no issue with my taxes. This kind of message feels quite intimidating and I’ve actually had it before. When it happened last time, I checked with my accountant who handles all my tax returns, and he reassured me there was nothing to be concerned about. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.
