Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent speaking broken English. He said he was John William from BT tech support and that there’s an issue with my broadband. He offered to fix it and told me to follow some steps (didn’t mention these would let him get into my computer remotely). Why does it feel like most of these scam calls come from India? Do these idiots really think people in the UK are that gullible? It’s proper insulting, honestly.
