Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC about unpaid taxes. They claimed I owe thousands and threatened court for tax evasion or something like that. Then they asked me to press 1 to sort it out or argue the case. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.

A woman rang claiming to be from the post office but messed up my name completely. I didn't bother answering after that and just blocked the number!

Got a call from someone saying they’re with Nationwide. They had my postcode and name and even guessed my age range right. When I asked why they were ringing from a mobile, the line just went dead. Seemed pretty sketchy to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Nationwide Building Society, they wanted me to verify my address but used an old postcode I haven’t lived at for ages. When I told them that was wrong, they just hung up straight away. Had another call like that not long ago from a different but similar number, both have been blocked now.

Got a call yesterday from 07547 282682 but didn’t know who it was so I looked it up here. Loads of comments said it’s either Nationwide or Aviva calling. Then, today, the same number called me back and some bloke called Daniel answered, sounded Indian, said he was from Nationwide. He even knew my name and postcode. I didn’t let him go any further though, told him I hadn’t asked for the call and it was spam, said I’d report it. After that he just hung up.
