The moment I answered, they just ended the call straight away.

I picked up and greeted them, but they just said hello again. I tried saying hello once more, then asked "yes?" and they suddenly ended the call. Tried ringing them back, but the line was busy at first, and the next time my phone said the number wasn’t recognised at all.

Someone called looking for a Mr Smith, who isn't me. I said they'd reached North Yorkshire Police, and they just cut the call straight away!
