I got a call from someone claiming to be about life insurance, but honestly, nobody around here called them. We’re close to 80 years old, and these annoying calls don’t stop. My phone number is registered with the TPS, so I have no idea how they even get through. Plus, the caller refused to give the company’s name. Looks like yet another scam to me.

They rang me up asking for someone who isn’t real, then on their next call claimed to be from Active Life Insurance. When I questioned how they got hold of my number, the bloke just said “It’s right here on my screen!” I told him I’m on the TPS list and they shouldn’t be ringing me. Asked him again who he was with, and he refused to tell me. Proper annoying.

Some bloke claiming to be from the UK’s Life Insurance Authority rang me up, said he was going to terminate my policy straight away. Is that even legit? Can he just cancel it like that?
