Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent saying she was from Amazon. She wanted to know if I’d bought something for £699 yesterday at around 3 in the afternoon. I hadn’t. Then, she texted me a “cancellation code” that looked like it came from Amazon, but I didn’t give her any info back, and she just ended the call. After that, I logged into my Amazon account and saw no orders from yesterday, plus I never got any 2FA alert about someone logging in. Pretty sure it was just a scammer trying to trick me.
