Yesterday, on Good Friday, I got a call on my mobile from this number. When I answered and said ‘hello’, there was an automated message saying something about HMRC accusing me of tax fraud and that I had to... I just hung up straight away. I've heard stories of scams like this where dodgy callers trick vulnerable folks into handing over money. Since it was a bank holiday, it felt unlikely that HMRC would be ringing me, especially since they usually send letters for this kind of thing. Still, it made me a bit uneasy, so I thought I’d see if anyone else has reported this number before.
