He abruptly ended our call, only to follow up with a text stating he was on my premises and would commence seizing my belongings. When I attempted to get more information, he flatly refused to disclose his identity or the name of his agency, all while pressuring me to fork out over £450 immediately over the phone. His tone turned quite aggressive when I expressed my doubts, and he even issued threats before hanging up. In light of this, I reached out to DART Charge to explain that I had never received any prior notification. Apparently, if it's your first infringement, there’s a form for appealing and they may waive the fee entirely-you're really only liable for a £2.50 charge for crossing. I suspect this is why he was so adamant about collecting money on the spot. I even contacted the police, who advised me not to pay him a penny. It's quite appalling behaviour, especially considering this is how the government enforces their fees.
