I’m with EE and have been getting these annoying texts from this number that say something like, “Busy morning here, if you can spare some time to help, that’d be great. Love and light, PS.” Pretty sure it’s some scammer after cash, probably someone from India or Malaysia or some other place. Honestly, they deserve a serious telling off in my opinion 😡🏏👊🥊💪. Authorities need to shut this number down fast, no doubt about it.

Just got a text saying my Lloyds Bank debit card is about to expire and I need to activate the replacement straight away. Then another from O2 telling me my phone is outdated and I should upgrade. Also received a one-time code supposedly from O2. The sender's number was something like "message centre" 447802000332. Really uneasy about this since I’m on a Pay As You Go sim that links to my bank card. Seems quite dodgy to me.

Got a text from this number about renewing my mortgage, which I don't have at all. I decided to forward the message to 7726 to check if it was legit and noticed the sender showed as roybank scot. I’ve since reported the message and all the info to O2.

Got a text from this number saying they were with The DPS and that I needed to click a link to get a deposit refund from my rental. Thing is, I’m neither a tenant nor a landlord, and I’ve never come across The DPS before. Total scam, don’t trust it!

Just get rid of it right away and block the number. They keep leaving nonstop voicemails, seriously annoying. Might be worth telling your local police's fraud department about it too.

A text popped up on my phone from a number saying it’s ‘Lucy Smith’. They said I might be able to claim back about £7,800 from the DWP for child benefit going way back between 1978 and 2000. There was a link included, but I’m not clicking on that for sure.

So, I had to use the blocking feature on my Samsung to stop these scammers. I ended up blocking the number with both the local and international prefixes. Then it told me to visit some dodgy site, not NHS, to get a free test. Again, no idea what the test was for. It's crazy that no one’s sorting out this message number that causes so much bother!

I was aboard the P&O Britannia travelling around the Med when I noticed my O2 bill had fees for texts, six in all, each costing £0.41. They were all linked to the number 07802000332. This number seems to send texts from your phone without you even realising it!! It caused roaming fees to pop up when I was overseas! I’ve heard from others who returned from abroad with bills of £3000 or more, plus a separate £600 charge from this same number! O2 really needs to look into this! The time stamp on the messages matched exactly when I asked O2 to turn on O2 Travel. O2’s roaming setup seems to be buggy, I got wrongly charged £80 on an earlier trip too, but they did give me a refund.

I just received an alert stating that I've been in contact with Omicron and that I should reach out to the NHS for a test. It strikes me as odd since I’ve hardly stepped outside my home in the past four days-if I had a virus, I'd have likely noticed by now. When I looked at my O2 bill, I saw 5 entries from this number. I never answered any as they appeared as ‘texts’ while I was in Switzerland alone. There’s no sign on my phone that I ever sent or got these messages, yet they appeared on my bill, though no charges were listed. They were supposedly sent between 3 and 4 pm, which is exactly when I was on a train in Switzerland with my phone switched off. Watch out for this likely scam, it’s been reported to ‘Who Called Me’ by loads of people.
