Got a call at 10.54am UK time, but the caller hung up as soon as I picked up. Later, around 2.31pm, I received another call from 02080708642. The bloke on the line said he was from 'u benefits' and was this really loud, fast-talking Indian guy. I told him to shut it a couple of times, then told him where to go and just ended the call.

At about 7:33 this morning, this number gave me a ring and it really annoyed me as it woke up everyone here. I’ve got a call blocker but wanted to find out where it’s from. Since it’s on the O2 network, surely O2 should be stopping this kind of nuisance calling? I tried calling back on my phone but the line just dropped. I really think we need to get the regulator, action fraud, and our MPs involved so something gets done. This kind of thing is just not acceptable, especially for vulnerable folks who might struggle with these calls.

This number rang me claiming to be 'Mary', but it was obvious she wasn’t. She said she needed a quick household survey that would be super brief and promised not to bother me again. I didn’t hang about to get more info - just blocked the number straight away.

Somebody rang my old mum, so I’ve blocked the number now. Also, I set up 1471 ringback blocking on her phone - definitely worth it if you’ve got elderly relatives. It can be pricey and there’s a risk they might accidentally call a premium rate number!

Got a call from this number about 9.45am today. Normally I just let unknown numbers ring out, but since it was a mobile number I assumed it was a contractor I’d been expecting. Was proper annoyed when some foreign bloke started talking. Told him not to bother wasting his time or mine, said bye and hung up straight away.

Got a call from this number earlier today, I picked up because I’m tired of getting hang-ups or no messages at all. A woman, who gave the name “Jenny” but sounded fishy, claimed to be from Benefits UK and started asking all sorts of questions. She seemed thrown off when I mentioned we can't get Virgin Fibre optic and that we don’t have Sky. Honestly, I hope the big firms aren’t hiring these irritating calls to do their dirty work. I’m putting my answerphone back on for good - it’s great at blocking these kind of calls!

Got a call from a woman who sounded like she was in some call centre in India. Just ended the call straight away.

Got a recorded message saying HMRC had “taken legal action against me”; they told me to “hit 1” for more info or else! Totally a scam, and from what others have said, this number gets used for loads of different scams. Quite resourceful of them!

Got a call from some bloke from India who knew my name and part of my address, which was a bit creepy. He claimed he'd got details from my phone provider saying I’ve been receiving annoying calls and mentioned I’m a pensioner. I was like, no I’m not - I’m only 37! As soon as I said that, he just ended the call.

On Monday, 11th December 2017, around 4:30pm, I received a call from a woman with a really strong Indian accent. She said something like she was from "call preference" or a name like that, but it was hard to follow because of how thick her accent was. Seemed like she was working in a call centre. When I asked what she was offering, she just didn’t respond. Strange call indeed.

Got a call from an Asian lady bright and early at 8 in the morning. She starts saying "a very good morning" but honestly, I snapped back saying, "No, it's definitely NOT a good morning" before just hanging up on her. Watch out, this is probably just another one of those dodgy scams.

Some bloke rang sayin it was an urgent call from TalkTalk. I had a really sore throat, so could barely manage a whisper. He kept insisting it was important but Id just told him I was ill and couldn’t chat. Honestly, he was pretty rude about it and I’m sure it wasn't from TalkTalk at all - just another scam trying to pull a fast one.

Got a voicemail supposedly from HMRC telling me to hit 1 to talk about a case. a) Would probably charge you if it was live b) the phone number they showed doesn't even ring anywhere - definitely a SCAM with a fake caller ID.

Just before I was about to have tea on 09-12-2017, an Asian bloke rang me. Left a voicemail, but I couldn't understand a word he said. So, I decided to block the number immediately. It's probably another Asian scammer calling on a weekend. I don’t usually pick up calls from unknown numbers. I reckon they'll try again from a different scammy number now that this one’s blocked.

Got a call from someone called "Roger" claiming to be from UK Benefits, asking some basic questions about my home. The number was listed under the 02 network. Feels like a misuse of their service and honestly, it’s a bit unfair on 02’s name.

Got a call from an Asian guy who was hard to follow. He claimed he was from "You Benefits", not "UK Benefits" like I asked. Either way, I didn’t want the call. When he asked me to verify an address I moved away from two years ago, I knew they must be working off some dodgy "sucker lists" that get swapped about constantly. Total waste of time.
