9 yearsI got a text about the DVLA from the number 07388604619.DVLA9 yearsGot a weird text about data maybe a month back, just ignored it. Then today, got another one saying "urgent contact's to". Looked it up online and found this site.9 yearsI nearly got scammed by this, I was a bit wary but I had just swapped my car in and was waiting for some money back. The website seemed legit enough. Today, though, my card got charged for a plane ticket and a pricey jumper. Luckily Lloyds spotted the dodgy charges and blocked my card straight away. Weirdly, I got an invoice from one of the shops he tried to buy from and the idiot left his delivery details on it - 1 Balmoral Crescent, Okehampton, EX20 1GN. I'm definitely reporting it to the police. HLloydsBalmoral CrescentOkehampton9 yearsBack on 20th March 2017, I got a text from this number with a link to what looked like a bogus DVLA site. They wanted me to put in loads of personal details, even my bank info. Like others have said, none of the links actually did anything - clicking just took me back to the form again. My so-called refund was a joke though, only £48.64, nowhere near what others claimed! Sounds proper dodgy if you ask me.DVLA9 years07801 572 644 is just a scam number - we really need to come together to stop these scammers. I've already reported it to Action Fraud. If we all do the same, it’ll help the police catch these crooks quicker. Seriously, if you’ve had contact with them, head over to the Action Fraud website and make a report. The more reports, the better chance they get traced and dealt with. Check out my next message for additional details.Action Fraud9 yearsGot a text saying it was from "DVLA Swansea" with a link to "tax-disc.gov.uk" claiming I had a refund waiting. Naturally, it asked for all your bank and financial info - total scam alert. It’s obvious phishing nonsense, and no matter what, you won’t see a penny of any refund unless those wicked scammers end up behind bars. Honestly, rather than jail, I'd ship them off to some remote island in the middle of nowhere and let them battle it out over who’s the worst of the bunch.DVLA SwanseataxAtlantic9 yearsThey were asking for my bank info, said it was to give me a DVLA refund.DVLA9 yearsGot a text about a car tax refund with a dodgy link: http://tax-disc.gov.uk.dvla.ma1.pw/info.html. The site looks like it wants your card info, but none of the other links or buttons load properly. Don’t fall for it and just ignore if you get one!DVLA9 yearsThis has gotta be a total con, really hope the government finally does something to stop it.9 yearsI've called that number over 60 times now and it's always silent. I’ve also sent a few rude texts but never got a single response. Honestly, what cowards. They should either be used for some gruesome scientific tests or handed over to me so I can show ’em what my 14lb hammer’s about.9 yearsGot a call a while back from someone claiming to be from the DVLA trying to get my details. Definitely seemed dodgy to me.DVLA9 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be the DVLA, but it definitely felt off. Seemed like one of those scam attempts pretending to be official. Turned out to be a dodgy scam according to the DVLA themselves. I checked the actual DVLA site, and it says to report stuff on the ‘Action Fraud’ website. But that site doesn’t actually collect any useful info from you, like the phone number that called or anything - just asks random questions and seems to only gather stats. What a load of nonsense!
