Got a call on my home phone from someone claiming to be the “Bank Security Team”. It was a recorded voice telling me that there were two unusual transactions on my card, one for £199 and another for £899 to Amazon. They said it looked fishy since I’d never bought anything like that with my card before. No actual bank name or card info was mentioned, so I knew it was dodgy. They asked me to press 1 or 2 to verify the charges or to get in touch with their so-called Security Dept. Didn’t do anything, just blocked the number straight away.
