I got a call from this number saying it was an automated message from my bank about a suspicious £420 charge for something from Argos. The weird thing was the number started with 07800, which isn’t my bank’s contact at all, so I just ended the call straight away. If it really was my bank, they’d get in touch through their proper number anyway. Honestly, I’d just block this number and stay clear - feels like a scam to me!

Got a call twice from this number today, and they tried pretending to be from my bank again. This time, they told me there was an unauthorised charge of £420 at Argos and told me to press 1 to stop it. The caller ID showed a random 07800 mobile but they acted like my actual bank. I blocked them after the first call but no surprise, these scammers are pretty stubborn and sketchy. They better watch out if they call me again because I’m definitely reporting them for harassment next time.
