If you get one of these calls, try and drag it out as much as possible, so they’ve less time to scam others. Basically, they’re fishing for info about accidents you might’ve had in the past few years. Just play dumb, ask daft questions, like you’ve no clue what they're after. I know it’s a bit harsh - these call centre folks probably don’t have great jobs either - but you’ve got to choose between letting them con vulnerable people or wasting their time and maybe annoying them a bit. Not an easy call, but better than letting them get away with it.

Honestly, i have no idea how people manage to hide their actual phone number this way but i just got called from this number and refused to pick it up. my advice? dont answer either. marked it as unknown because if they’re hiding their digits, you gotta wonder if they’re up to no good.
