Got a recorded call supposedly from HMRC telling me I owed money and to press 1. After a quick check online, I realised it’s a well-known scam targeting people. They keep switching up the phone numbers they call from. I’ve already handed the number over to HMRC so hopefully they’ll take action, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the crooks start using a new number soon. If you get a call like this, don’t press anything and definitely don’t give out your bank or personal details - it’s a total con!
