Got a call from a woman with an American accent using a robotic voice claiming to be HMRC. She warned me I'd be fined unless I pressed a certain number to be transferred - obviously some sort of scam. I tried ringing the number back, but it just kept ringing ages before going to a sales guy’s voicemail from a completely different firm. Probably a case of a fake or hijacked number, I’d say.
