I got a robotic message claiming it was from my bank’s security team, saying there’d been two charges on my card this morning - £300 for Amazon and £1000 sent abroad. It asked me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to talk to their fraud department. I just ended the call because I don’t actually use a bank, I have a building society account, and I know their phone numbers are never mobile ones. Honestly, if you’re not sure, just hang up and ring your bank or building society directly yourself.
