I got a call from a man who spoke decent English, gave his name and claimed he was from BT regarding my internet and specifically my IP address. When I said I knew what an IP was and also mentioned that BT don’t do random cold calls like that, he was a bit evasive. I asked him straight up who he actually worked for, and then he just said he was going to cut off my internet and hung up. Definitely seemed like a scammer, and pretty dodgy to be honest.
