I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number, yet somehow they still find a way to ring me back! First, they claimed to be my mother, then proceeded to say I’m under investigation. What a turn-up!

Shortly after, I received a message inquiring if I was a woman, as he mentioned he was in search of a girlfriend due to feelings of loneliness. He suggested continuing the conversation via text. It all seems a bit suspicious to me, though I'm uncertain of the exact scam at play. I chose not to engage further.
