Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming to be from TalkTalk's tech support. She told me my router got hacked and that’s why my internet's been crawling. I wasn’t convinced at all and just ended the call. Sounds like the typical scam, probably linked to that recent TalkTalk data leak.

this bloke said he was from bt, saying my internet was gettin hacked again. i told him ima report him to the police scam squad, and he just cut me off. when will these scammers quit this crap? i seriously recommend blocking these numbers, especially if you’ve got older folks around, make sure they do too!

I picked up, but they just cut the call straight away. Feels like they were trying to trick me into ringing back some pricey number. When I looked it up, there were about 40 searches on it before, even one not long ago.

Got a missed call from this number on my home phone, but when I called back it just said no such number. Looks like another one of those scam attempts!

I got a recorded call saying my TalkTalk services were going to be cut off soon, and they gave me a couple of phone numbers to ring back. I just ended up hanging up straight away.
