someone called me saying they were from hsbc, even knew which branch i bank with. they told me i had to move money around because my current account wasn’t getting as much interest as another one. at the start, it all sounded pretty real. i even asked about the interest rates to check. but then i got suspicious - banks usually dont call you asking to transfer money, at least that’s what their security advice says. that’s when i realised something was off.
