Just got a message from this number saying my phone's been locked, lucky I didn't click on anything.

Got a call from 07796620601, bloke claimed he was calling from Citizens Advice and said I owed them money. Told him I didn’t owe anything and asked him to take my number off their list, then he started calling me a liar! I just laughed, ended the call and blocked the number. Still, I can imagine some people might get worried hearing something like that.

This number rang me up and I had a pretty much the same trouble as others have mentioned already. It’s really worrying for folks who aren’t as careful or aware. These scammers wouldn’t keep calling if they weren’t making some scamming work. There’s been loads of these calls now, surely something needs to be done about it. Why do the scammers always seem to be a bit smarter than the phone companies? And why don’t the companies do more to stop it?

Some bloke rang my missus about some dodgy debts she supposedly had. She told him she didn’t know who he was and wasn’t interested in talking. He just cut the call right away.

Got a call from an Asian bloke who asked for me by name, said it was about some sort of credit offer (which I don’t have). Told him I wasn’t interested and to take me off their list. He goes, "I’m not interested either madam, just doing my job," and then just hung up. Really didn’t need that at 8:28 in the morning!

Got a call at 16:18, some bloke asked for the phone’s owner and gave a name. I said that number isn’t for them. He then went and called me a c##t. When I asked what he’d said, he flipped it on me saying I’d called him that and then accused me of lying before hanging up. I’ve blocked that number now.

Some w#nker rang me earlier today pretending to be from Citizens Advice Bureau. What a load of rubbish! He told me I had some dodgy debts, so I just cut him off. Luckily, no more calls from him, maybe he got the hint I’m onto his scam. Not falling for that nonsense! Do you reckon the actual CAB are aware some mug’s running about pretending to be them?

07796 620 601. DO NOT PICK UP, AND REPORT TO THE POLICE IF THIS NUMBER RINGS YOU. This guy is a total scammer and a cheat. He phoned me today pretending to be from the citizens advice bureau, telling me I owed "debtors" loads of money. The C.A.B would NEVER contact you like that or ask for payments through them. When I refused to answer his questions, he just laughed and hung up. What a scam, complete waste of space. Make sure you report this number to the police if it calls you, and let your mates and family know. Stay safe out there people!

Got a call from this person yesterday claiming they're from some government dept, saying they can clear up to 40% of your debts! The number I got yesterday was 07830908889 and today it was 07796620601! If they were legit, wouldn’t they use the same number? Plus, why a mobile - wouldn’t a proper gov dept use a landline with an area code? Watch out! Don’t share any info, especially your bank details! They said they’d ring back at 10am tomorrow. I’m keeping both numbers saved to see how long they keep pushing for info! Anyone knows who I should report this to?

Got a call this morning at about 9:52. The guy said he was a case worker from Citizens Advice Bureau and was asking about unsecured loans. He claimed his info came from something he called the Financial Complaints Authority (he even spelled out FCA for me). He sounded like he had a strong Asian accent but gave a really English sounding name, something like Peter (I don't recall the last name, but it was proper English, like Headingley or something). He hung up as soon as I asked for more info about these loans.

I got a call from a lady asking if she was speaking to (a name that’s on my official papers). She claimed to be from CAB and wanted to ask about any debts I might have. She wouldn’t give an actual address, just a landline number for her manager beginning with 0161. They seem to have no proper office or website! If this is a legitimate effort to help, they seriously need to sort out how they work because it feels dodgy and unprofessional.
