I just got a call from 0779606988, pretending to be from Amazon, saying they’d take £79.99 for my Prime membership. It was a recorded message, I didn’t say a word, and they clearly had no clue who they were talking to. They told me to press 1 if I didn’t want to renew. Looks like these scammers have switched to a fresh batch of phone numbers. Why don’t the phone companies step in and block or check these numbers properly?
