Got a call off this number asking for a Mrs Hazlewood, said she wasn’t here and told them to stop ringing me freaking number before I hung up. Tried calling back and got some automated message saying the number had been scammed or something? The original call was from India or Pakistan, loads of noise in the background. They keep ringing my mum, who has dementia. The calls come from 0203 numbers and different mobiles all the time. Mum gets these calls every day. I contacted BT but they just told me there's nothing they can do. I handle her phone bill online and block each number as soon as they call, but they just switch to a new number afterwards.

Phone rang first thing at 8 in the morning and woke me up. I picked up but no one spoke, just some noises in the background and then the call ended abruptly. Felt like they just hung up.

Got a call at 7:30 from a number starting 07, they said it was Microsoft about my computer. I hung up straight away. I'm a 75-year-old widow living on my own, and with the cost of a landline and internet just to keep in touch with loved ones and get help if needed, I don’t want to be disturbed by scams so early in the morning. It was also showing up as INTERNATIONAL - usually means it’s just pointless. I answered, said hi and then the call ended straight away. Definite scammers making more calls than they can deal with, and way too early in the morning (8:30am).

Some guy with an Asian accent claimed to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was hacked!! He kept telling me to log in (even tho i was already online). When i said i wasnt falling for his scam, he threatened to disable my computer. Told him good luck with that, called him a muppet and ended the call!!!

Got a call from this number, a woman claimed she was from Microsoft and said hackers had gotten into my computer. She wanted me to switch it on, but I told her I wasn't near it and was about to go to sleep. She kept pushing, saying I had to turn it on quickly since it’d only take a couple of minutes to fix. I told her it wasn’t a good time and asked her to call after 6pm as I was knackered from a night shift. She replied they stop work at 4. So I told her to call next week then, and hung up.

I told him no way, and he was like, "Oh come on, just three quick questions." I still said no, but stayed polite and thanked him (not sure why really, just brought up to be courteous). Some bloke from India called me, telling me to check my IP location on Google Chrome, claiming that someone in the US is using my address. What a blatant load of rubbish. He tried to back it up with this message: "Hang up on him! Your IP Address shows as 66.249.79.117, located in Mountain View, United States, according to the MaxMind GeoIP database (free edition). This info might be wrong if you're using a VPN or if your ISP or company routes traffic through another place." Don’t fall for it, just end the call!

Got a call from someone claiming to be ‘Microsoft support in Reading’. Told me my Windows PC was compromised and being used for dodgy stuff like gambling, scams, and adult sites. Microsoft called me again, claiming my computer had been compromised. I played dumb for about 20 minutes, acting like I didn’t get what he wanted me to do. Got a call on my landline today from a number I’ve only had a couple of weeks after moving. The bloke said he was from BT and told me my WiFi had been hacked, that emails were being sent that could get into my computer. He was even about to read out some IP address. I just ended the call right there. Then I rang BT myself and they told me it’s a scam where they hijack your computer and get into your bank accounts. Watch out for this!

I called back but there was nobody there, so I didn’t bother hanging about to see if they’d answer. Based on what others have said, I’d definitely be very careful with this one.

Around 11:28 in the morning, I was instructed to press 1 to reach the complaints team. When I did, the chap on the other end tried to tell me they were looking into a fraud complaint I was supposedly part of. I had to ask him a few times what he meant because his English wasn’t very clear. I told him to jog on and ended the call. When I looked up the number, it showed as an international call. These scammers never give up!! The number was 07793589933.

I picked up the phone, but there was just silence on the other end. Definitely feels like one of those scam calls to me.

Had a call claiming to be from Microsoft!!! No way was it legit, because when I questioned them, they got really nasty. These annoying calls need to stop, something should be done soon!

They wanted to talk to the person who runs the business, but when I asked their name, they just ended the call straight away!

Got a call from a woman with an accent asking if I was Ms......... I said no straight away. I’m so fed up with these annoying calls. Usually, I check the numbers before picking up but this one seemed like a mobile, so I wasn’t sure. The government really needs to step in and put an end to this. They’re even ringing from numbers that don’t exist anymore!

So this guy Michael phoned me, and as soon as I mentioned I knew he wasn’t with Microsoft, he got really nasty and started threatening me. Honestly, just cut the call short and make sure you report the number.

Some lady with what sounded like an Indian accent rang, claiming she was from Microsoft about my computer. I answered in a very bossy voice, "Oh really?!" and she just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from this survey place, and when I asked them to take me off their calling list, they were really unpleasant about it.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Windows support, saying my computer had a virus. Instead of freaking out, I just played a phone jacker video from YouTube through the speaker. They didn't know what to make of it and ended up hanging up on me! Hilarious!

He rang up saying he was Michael, representing Microsoft. This came after they'd already called a couple times from some "Reading landline" number 01253675725. Every time they phoned, I ended it quickly, telling the caller I didn't believe he was legit!

I searched the phone number on Facebook and it turned up a Garry Fullagar from Ramsgate. Since his voicemail sounded like him, i sent a message warning that id report him to the police if he kept ringing me.

I picked up the phone and they just hung up right away. When I tried calling back, it went straight to their voicemail.
