I got a call from someone claiming to be the National Crime Centre, with a recorded message saying my NIC number was at risk of suspension and warning me to press 1 to avoid my accounts being frozen and getting arrested. It felt so fake! I pressed 1 and some guy with an Indian accent picked up, asking what I needed. I said, “You called me, you tell me,” and then he just hung up. Total rubbish scam, very badly done!
