Some random number called me, I just didn’t pick up.

Just got a call that sounded like a recording claiming to be from TalkTalk, telling me my broadband would be cut off and to press 1 to talk to someone. Surely they aren’t actually shutting down my internet today, right??

Got a call from some woman with an accent claiming she was from BT, said I could get a 35% discount for being a “valued customer.” Yeah right, I’m not falling for that. Definitely sounded like a scammer to me, so I just blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from an unknown number telling me my internet was about to get cut off. I pressed option 1 and ended up speaking to someone from a supposed call centre. They claimed there was an issue with my account and my broadband would be disconnected. I hung up straight away and rang TalkTalk to check. Turns out, it was a complete scam!
