This number keeps ringing me up nonstop, always asking for a person who's never even lived here. They say it’s about solar panels supposedly installed on my place, but there’s nothing like that here. I’ve told them loads of times to take me off their list but they just ignore it. Even warned them about taking legal steps but still no change. It’s really annoying!

There was this weird moment where the call stayed dead silent for about 11 seconds, just me staring at the timer on my phone. Then this bloke with an Asian accent popped up, saying he needed to confirm my ID and said he was calling from Manchester. As soon as I asked why he was using a mobile, he just cut me off and hung up. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Had a call just like that. I reckon the best is to play along and have a bit of a laugh with them. Never give out any real details, just make stuff up on the spot! Keeps it entertaining and they never know what’s true or not. Definitely not worth giving them any proper info.

Got a call from some bloke called "Adam" and decided to mess about with him a bit. Ended up saying I was gonna report him to Ofcom and the Telephone Preference Service. Proper scam, but had a laugh out of it 😂😂😂

Total scam. Some woman with an Indian accent rang me saying I’d been given £2750 for a PPI claim. As soon as I tried to ask which company it was for, she just cut the call. Definitely block this number, it’s dodgy.

Somebody just rang me up claiming it was about PPI. Their thick Asian accent made it really hard to catch what they were saying. I ended up stringing them along for ages just to annoy them until they gave up and ended the call. Seriously, I don't mind wasting their time - it's like entertainment dealing with these scammers. Got nothing better to do than take the mick out of these muppets!

I picked up thinking it might be someone I was waiting on, since it was a mobile, although I didn't have their number saved. At first, there was nothing but silence, then I could hear what sounded like a busy office in the back. A woman with an Asian accent started talking about some debt collection thing. I just cut the call off and put the number on my block list.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying I had a cheque for £2,500 waiting. Then they said I didn’t actually have any claim to it. They kept pushing, asking for my personal info. When I refused to give it, they just hung up.

I haven’t replied to any of these calls. The whole PPI thing is finished now, so if you pick up and they’re on about that, it’s probably a scam. I get about ten calls a week from unknown numbers and not one leaves a voicemail. Sometimes they ring again though. Honestly, if you don’t recognise the caller, just don’t bother answering!

Really strange call from this number, didn’t give them any info at all. I just listened for a bit, there was a lady speaking but couldn’t make out much because she was so quiet. She kept saying I needed to get life insurance to get back £2000 or something, and every time she said a number I had to say it back like a kid. Honestly, it felt off so I hung up and have now blocked the number.

I got a call telling me my PPI would be paid to me without any tax to pay. I told them I knew I had to pay tax on it, then they just ended the call.

Received a call from someone saying his name was Alex Wilson, saying he was from Gladstone Brooks regarding some money they said I was owed from old finances. He already knew my full name and asked if I was younger than 79, if I had any IVA in place, and questions about my life insurance. When I asked for a phone number to ring back, he gave me 01618187906 along with a reference number to mention. Definitely felt fishy!

Some bloke rang me saying he was from a PPI firm, telling me I had a cheque worth £3000 waiting. He asked for loads of my personal info to sort it out. I told him it sounded like a scam, especially as he didn’t even know my name!

Got a call from 07791775501, this bloke said he was some ‘Gladson Brooks’ talking about a PPA claim I supposedly made last year, which I never did. His Indian accent was really strong and hard to understand. Actually, he said Gladstone Brookes and meant PPI, not PPA. I just put the phone by the telly and let him chat nonsense, didn’t bother me one bit.

I got a call from a lady speaking with an Indian accent claiming to be from a claims management firm. She said it was about my PPI claim and that I had been granted more than £3000. She wanted to verify my information, but I was puzzled since I believed all my PPI stuff was already sorted. I asked her exactly which claim she was referring to, and then she just hung up on me. Pretty clear it was a scam.

Some bloke called Paul Smith rang me, said he was from a debt collection firm, but his Indian accent was really heavy. When I told him I ain’t got any debts, he got quite rude and started shouting about wasting his time. Pretty clear to me it was a scam, so watch out for these kinds of calls.
