Got a phone call from someone pretending to be from the bank, trying to trick my elderly mum. They told her her account had been hacked and that £5000 needed to be withdrawn discreetly. They said a courier would come pick it up. They kept ringing her from different random mobile numbers over and over. I reported this to Herts Police just today, 28th August 2026. Definitely something that should be flagged for fraud investigations.
