I got tricked out of £470 when they pretended to be my dad with a new phone number. I only caught on when the guy accidentally called me ‘dad??’ That’s when I knew something was off and rang my real dad straight away. Turns out my actual dad had messaged me earlier, but the scammer used the same caller ID name, so I was fooled at first. Seriously, don’t waste your time with this number.
