The number showed up flagged as a possible scam but I picked up anyway, just wanting to see what it was about. The guy spoke with an Indian accent and somehow knew my name and where I live. He claimed somebody was attempting to use my Amazon profile to purchase an iPhone. I ended the call pretty quick and checked my Amazon account straight away. Nothing unusual there, so I sent a message to their fraud team. I haven't heard back yet, and since then I’ve had loads of these sorts of calls, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number to be safe.
