Got a dodgy message claiming to be from Royal Mail saying I needed to pay for delivery fees before they’d drop off a parcel. Totally fake - definitely NOT from Royal Mail! Watch out for this scam.

Got a message saying there’s a parcel ready to be delivered and I need to pay £1.99 to Royal Mail. I sent a parcel myself just yesterday but wasn’t told about any extra fees and didn’t share my phone number with anyone, so not sure how they got hold of it. I’m planning to report this to Royal Mail. When I looked up the number on a different site, it showed up linked to “love travels” and some “top office[###]” - both sites looked dodgy and unsecured.

Got a text saying my royal mail parcel is on hold and I need to pay 1.99 quid to get it delivered. The message had a link for me to settle the amount. Smells fishy to me, probably one of those scams trying to steal info. Wouldn't click on anything like that if I were you!
