Got a call claiming to be from the tax office, saying there’s some problem with my taxes and I need to press 1 right away to speak with someone. They warned me that if I didn’t comply, they’d take action. The message was a recorded lady’s voice with a really strong American accent. Oddly enough, the number was actually linked to some heating and ventilation repair firm. Definitely not connected to the tax department as far as I can tell.
