I just got this message saying: HALIFAX WARNING: You have a new payee added to your app. If that’s you, ignore this, if it’s not, cancel now at: Secure-payelink[###]. Total rubbish, I don’t even have any Halifax account, and my bank would never reach out like that. Proper scam trying to trick you!

Got a call saying it was Halifax and that they’d added a new payee to my account. Asked them what account they meant, and then 20 minutes later, the same message came through from +447340734918. Definitely a SCAM.

Got a message supposedly from “HALIFAX” saying a new payee had been added to my app. Thing is, I don’t even have a Halifax account or any app from them. The text said if it was me, no need to do anything, but if it wasn’t me I had to click the link straight away. Nah, not falling for that one.
