Got a call from someone I didn’t recognise, so I searched their number on google. Seems like people say to ignore or report if it rings, but I’ve just blocked the number anyway.

The caller is from a firm named NM Energy Limited. The only director is a bloke called Frank PIEROW (born 21/11/1968), who is German. He’s based in Preston, Lancashire. Apparently, Mr Pierow also works as a Community Health Care Support Worker for the NHS in Lancashire.

He asked me what I use to heat my house. When I asked where he got my number from, he started being all defensive. Claimed it was in his company’s database. He even called me by name. I told him to take me off their list and he just goes “why?” I told him to quit phoning me and then he just hung up. Blocked the number straight away.

At first, it was just dead silence on the line. Then I could barely make out some garbled words, and eventually they asked how I keep my house warm. I said it was an unlisted number from the Home Office and they hung up straight away.

Got a call from a lady acting all nice saying she was from something like NM Energy Services. I cut her off straight away, told her I’d report her for breaking the law as I’m on the TPS. She got all cheeky and then just hung up on me. These scammers really need to be caught and dealt with properly!

I recently relocated to Wales and have been getting calls from this number non-stop, always asking for Mr Evans. I've been courteous, explained that I just bought the home and that Mr Evans has sadly died. Despite that, they keep ringing trying to sell me a boiler. I've even given them the number of the local crematorium and said that's the best way to reach Mr Evans now.

13/11/17 - Got a random call on my mobile, some bloke asking for me by name, with loads of background noise like a call centre. Me, straight away: “Who’s this then?” Heard an Asian guy sayin’ “NM Ltd - do you have oil for your central heating?” I just told him, “That’s private info!” He hung up sharpish. Some guy with an Asian accent rang me, first asking if he was talking to my missus before launching into his usual chat about boilers. Why are they always on about boilers? 07788377268 rings us loads during the week. We’re both on disability pensions and it’s a struggle to get to the phone, only for the call to cut off before we pick up.
