This number rang me up claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs, but the voice sounded Indian. As soon as I picked up, they started blabbering about tax problems and told me to press 1. I did, and then some bloke answered asking what I wanted to talk about! That’s when I clocked it was a scam. He said he’d call me back, but I never heard from him again. I’ve already flagged the number on the HMRC phishing page.
