On the 1st of April, someone spoofed my number. I ended up telling about 20 callers that it wasn’t me and asked them to block my number. But I got so many calls afterwards just to double check that I had to put my phone on silent. This is my personal number, not some business line.

Some lad ringin’ sayin’ he was from BT, but as soon as i asked who exactly he was, they just ended the call.

I got a recorded call when I picked up that said something like 'This is Visa' and warned about a suspicious £800 bet on my card in the States. They asked me to press 1 to approve the charge. I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be 'Amazon Customer Support', didn’t catch the whole message cause I hung up straight away.

Somebody rang up saying they were from Virgin Media, saying our broadband got hacked. They started asking about our router, how many gadgets were connected, plus info about our mobiles. When we asked them to prove who they were by giving our Virgin account number, they gave us the wrong one. As soon as we told them this, they just hung up on us.

Got a recorded call after I picked up saying it was Visa, warning about a dodgy £800 bet showing on my card from the States. They said to hit 1 if I wanted the accounts folks to okay the payment. I just ended the call by pressing the hang-up.
