Got a robo call from someone claiming to be from a Fraud Department, warning me about a suspicious £600 charge on my card from the past 15 minutes. They told me to press 1, but I didn’t bother. Then the line just cut off. This scam sounds exactly like ones I heard about before covid. If I’d pressed 1, I’d probably have ended up chatting to a scammer trying to empty my bank account. The number they called from isn’t even real, as you’d expect.
