I’m not an HSBC customer and someone apparently added a payee using my details. It definitely wasn’t HSBC. The whole thing seemed dodgy, so I didn’t bother clicking on any links.

Got a text that says HSBC received a request to add a payee and to click a link if I didn’t do it. I’ve added payees in the past but never got a text like this from HSBC, and it definitely wasn’t from their usual number, it was a mobile number. I checked with HSBC and they said it wasn’t them. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.
