First, I got a call from a really nice guy with an African accent, then suddenly this aggressive bloke with an Asian accent started pressuring me. I quickly said I never give my bank info over the phone, but they still tried this obvious scam. Absolutely ridiculous.

This number’s rung me up twice, once yesterday and then again today. Both times some bloke with an Asian accent was saying I’d won a PPI claim or sumthin’. I told him straight it wasn’t true and that I’d report it to the cops. Honestly, I don’t have any claims like that, and there’s no way I’d trust someone who sounds that dodgy at all.

I've had a couple of calls about my ppi claim but could never quite catch the name of the company they said they were from.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be with the UK Finance Department in Oldham, Manchester, and he had quite a bit of my personal information, which set off alarm bells. He informed me that I had PPI amounting to £1800 but insisted that I must secure a life insurance policy before I could receive any PPI funds. It all felt rather unsettling to say the least.

got a call today from a guy with an indian accent saying my PPI claim went through. but when i tried to find out the company involved, he just hung up on me. they already knew my name, phone number and even my address, which freaked me out a bit.

Today I got a second call saying my PPI was approved. Like someone else said here, the bloke on the phone sounded Asian and the connection was awful, couldn’t really make out everything he said. I did hear something about a bank though. When I asked why he was ringing from a mobile, he said their landline was down. Tried ringing the number back but it says it’s not valid. If they call again, I’m just gonna ignore it. It’s a bit worrying because they had my name, my mobile, and even my home address.

Got two calls this afternoon from a bloke with an asian accent. Said it was about some PPI thing and that he was from the British Financial Institute or summat. Also reckoned I'd talked to them before. Told him to take me off their calling list but he hung up just before I could let rip with a few choice words. Proper annoying!

I got a call from this number a few times today, thought it might be genuine since I recently put in a claim. I asked them which company I was supposed to have won with, but they just cut me off. I’m starting to think my info might have been shared by Consumer Refund Service because that’s who I gave my details to first.

I got a call saying my PPI claim was approved, but I've never even made one. They told me I'd get a letter soon with the details. When I tried to ask something, they just cut the call off. Very odd.

Got a call from a polite bloke with an Asian accent who knew my name. He said my PPI claim had gone through successfully. I asked who had handed over the £2800 and he mentioned something like the FEA or FSA, but the line was rubbish so I couldn’t catch it properly. I asked again about the name of the company, and suddenly his tone got really sharp and a bit hostile, so I just hung up. Legit companies don’t ring you on a mobile anyway.

Got a call saying my PPI claim had gone through, so I asked them to just send the money over and then they just cut me off!

I got a call from this number saying my PPI claim went through and they even had my address and birthdate. Not sure if it's legit or just a scam.
