I’ve had calls from this number every couple of days over the past week. Since I didn’t know who it was, I didn’t pick up. After seeing what others have said, I’m just going to ignore it if it rings again.

Yesterday some weird bloke rang me up and asked if I had life insurance with Aviva, and called me by name as well. I told him I wasn’t sure because it’s weird to use a mobile number as an official contact. He just laughed and said, “How can you not know your own insurance?” I replied, “Honestly, I don’t.” Then he told me to check it and said he'd ring early next day. I declined and said I wouldn’t do that. He laughed again and asked what he should do then, so I suggested maybe he pass my issue to a colleague. After that, he just hung up.

I've been getting calls from this number pretty much all day long. Every time it's a guy with a strong Nigerian accent saying he's from the Nationwide Building Society and wants to chat about my mortgage. Thing is, I don't have a mortgage or even an account with Nationwide. Weirdly, he already knew my name and where I live.

For the past three days, I've been getting calls from this number twice daily. When I pick up, sometimes it's silent and hangs up after a few seconds, other times there's a voice with an Asian accent that just says "Hello" and then disconnects. I've decided to block them now.

I got a call from a bloke with an African accent who actually knew my name and even rattled off my postcode. When I asked who it was, he claimed it was Nationwide. I told him to remove me from their list, but he snapped back, "You haven’t even heard what this is about and I’m not taking you off our records!" Honestly, I’m fed up with these kinds of calls all the time and having to keep blocking numbers! So annoying!

I just let it ring until it went to voicemail. They kept leaving a message going "hello can you hear me... hello... hello hello" again and again, and they actually used my old last name that I haven’t used in ages. They said they were calling from part of Pakistan (somewhere like that). The line was awful, with loads of background noise like people making similar calls, but it was really hard to make out what exactly was being said. Not really sure what they wanted or if it was some sort of scam.

When I said I didn’t want any more calls and asked some questions, she just said she’d ring back and then hung up. Tried calling the number back but no luck, so I sent a few texts telling her to buzz off! Definitely seems like a scam since she couldn’t even tell me the company’s name. Be careful if you get a call from this number!

I picked up and they asked me to confirm my name, then went on with something about my postcode and house number being xox. I told them I wasn't comfortable giving that info and asked who exactly was calling. Next thing, they just dropped the call.
