Instead of just blocking, try giving them a bit of hassle first. Like saying, "I’ve had a tough year with accidents. One time a massive Sherman Tank smashed into my rear, then a helicopter flew so close I had to swerve off the road, and on another occasion, some spooky Roman soldiers suddenly crossed the road right in front of me."

Had a call from Sam at AMS on my phone around 9.52 this morning regarding another payment for some uninsured damages. She was asking when this incident supposedly took place. I haven't been involved in any accidents for over two and a half years, which is the time they claim it happened. Then she passed me to her manager, who just repeated the same story. They said I could check the details with the insurance company. I firmly told her I didn't want to be contacted and ended the call. Total scam.

I usually say yeah, I got into a crash which wasn’t even my fault, there was this really crazy sharp turn I didn’t take properly, it was so intense it basically took my head clean off. Then I say I’m trying to claim some damages for surgery so they can stick my head onto a brand new, fit body because honestly, the old one was getting a bit lumpy. Unsurprisingly, they just end the call right away.

A woman called me saying I could get compensation for a car crash that supposedly happened in the past 2 years. I asked her for the exact date, but she had no idea. How did she even know if anything like that happened to me? I haven’t had any accident for over 5 years! Just like loads of people already mentioned, they said hi then hung up straight away. Seems like scammers trying to reroute your calls to make money off your transfers. Luckily, I’ve got a limit on my line so if it goes over, it just disconnects them. Honestly, everyone should get their phone providers to cap the bills - don’t spend more than your monthly allowance. Any calls costing extra shouldn’t go through unless you get a proper warning saying 'this is a premium number and charges apply'. Come on guys, let's sort this out and keep these scumbags at bay!

They always use Gumtree, and I’m on the TPS list too but it literally does nothing. I keep telling them I’m going to report them but that doesn’t stop them either. Loads of these firms seem to be based in India and they’re aware they cant be taken to court so they just carry on ringing.
