This morning, around the 4th of December, I got a text from this number saying I’d been near someone with a confirmed case of something, didn’t say what, and that I needed to order a test via https://pcr-my-order.com. Total con job. I already have the NHS Covid app and it's always notified me first, never a text like this. I didn’t click the link, especially after reading the other reviews.

There’s been another round of a text scam going around, telling folks they might have been near someone who tested positive for Omicron and that they must order a PCR test. This con had previously been shut down, but it’s come back again using a different website address. The messages claimed to be from the NHS and included a link to a suspicious site - originally it was mypcr-test.com, but now it’s changed to https://pcr-my-order.com - where it said you could get a test. Definitely something to watch out for!

I got a call from someone claiming to be NHS test and trace, the website they sent me looked pretty legit at first glance but as soon as I clicked around, it was clear it was fake. They were trying to trick me into handing over my name, date of birth and even card info - absolutely dodgy. If you get a call like this, definitely report the number to 7726 (SPAM) so they can look into it.

Got a text saying I’d been near someone with covid and needed to get tested. Not great considering I was at the hospital last Friday! Woke up to that message and it didn’t feel right. Looks like a scam, so don’t reply - NHS PCR tests will never ask for your card info. I ordered a lateral flow kit and took the test myself. Got a negative result in the end. Watch out, the NHS logo was all wrong, so don't fall for it!

This has to be a scam for sure. UK Test and Trace shut down ages ago and they’re not texting anyone anymore. I read something about it in the Independent on January 30th - apparently scammers are tweaking the website links just a bit to dodge the blocks they set up. But the message itself? Totally identical. Watch out!
