Got a call about some online investing thing. When I told them to take my number off their list, the woman got really snappy and kept demanding why I even asked about it if I wasn’t keen. I had to tell her right away that I didn’t make any enquiry, it’s my private number and I’m not interested at all!

Got a dodgy call from someone pretending to be with BT Internet. They asked me to enter some code on my computer, but I told them I run Linux and my phone's just an old Nokia, proper classic one. When I mentioned my "landline" was actually a VoIP system, the bloke sounded all annoyed and said he'd need to get his supervisor on the line. That’s when I just ended the call. They tried ringing back from another number, 0772241477, but I let it ring out. Managed to chew up like 15 minutes of their time, so that was a win!
