That message was obviously nothing but a load of rubbish or a scam. The name at the beginning seemed like it was conjured up randomly, and when it looks anything like yours, it just feels like a coincidence. This isn't our first rodeo with dodgy texts, and thankfully the last one stopped coming through. I doubt these folks are coughing up any cash for the messages they fling out; however, I reckon they’ll tire themselves out sooner or later. In my opinion, the wisest course of action is simply to let them fizzle out on their own.

We've been receiving the exact same message. It’s quite peculiar since our name is rather unusual, and they managed to get it right. It all started shortly after we used a comparison website for car insurance. Just a heads up, sending a text with "quit" to that number isn't likely to do anything. It probably won't even go through, and you'll still be inundated with their messages.

To opt out, text STOP." Quite an odd situation, isn’t it?

We've dropped an email to indicate that we'd asked for my mobile number, which was directed elsewhere. Yet, lo and behold, we've now received a message from a debt collection agency, and it’s honestly rather infuriating. The message advises us to call 08453445660 or to opt-out by texting STOP2.
