I got a call from a woman claiming to be from HMRC, warning me that they'd take legal action over unpaid taxes unless I dialled option 1 to speak with someone. It’s obviously a scam - the number didn’t look right and HMRC themselves have told me I don’t need to submit any more tax returns. What worries me most is how some folks might get scared by these rubbish calls and end up sending money to these scammers. It’s really annoying.
