I got a message saying something like it's from Vodafone, telling me my recent bill payment didn’t go through and to update my details at some weird link vodafone.review-bills[###]... but I don’t even have Vodafone, so it’s gotta be a scam for sure.

Got a call from a blocked number and it was some robotic lady on the answerphone. Proper unsettling since usually these sort of calls come from withheld numbers.

Loads of random numbers have been ringing me lately. I looked this one up online before answering and decided to block it since they never leave a voicemail.

When I pick up the phone theres always this weird couple seconds pause before anyone talks, and they never get my name right anyway. It’s pretty obvious it’s one of those call centres where a robot dials first, then hands it over to a human once you’ve answered. Definitely a dead giveaway.

They never say a word, just hang up straight away. Tried ringing back and it says the number doesn’t exist. I’ve blocked it now. Got a call like this yesterday too, looked like it came from a mobile. From now on, if I don’t know the mobile number, I’ll let it ring out first and then call back to see if it’s legit. If it’s dodgy, straight to BLOCK!
