Got a call supposedly from L&G, right? I told the bloke he'd buzzed me like 8 times non-stop within just 5 minutes for some rubbish! I humoured the idiot for a couple of minutes then just hung up. Could be connected to some scam from before where they pretended to be the NHS, saying I was due for a covid jab and needed my life insurance details or something daft like that.

Just like a lot of folks here, they said they were from Legal & General. I asked how much my monthly fee was, and they reckoned it was around £18, which wasn’t right at all. When I told them I’d ring Legal & General myself, the guy said he’d get back to me and then just hung up. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a life insurance company, saying my policy would be cancelled because of Covid if I didn’t renew it. I asked about getting a new plan since I’ve had life insurance with Scottish Widows since I was a teenager, but the guy didn’t seem to understand anything about the payments I’ve been making. I’m in hospital waiting for surgery right now, so I’ve blocked the number already and plan to let Scottish Widows know once I’m out. Definitely a scam, avoid it.

About a month back I got a weird call from someone claiming to be from the NHS, asking if I had life insurance and which company I'd signed up with. Then recently, another caller said they were from Legal and General and wanted to "review" my life insurance, mentioning something about adding Covid-19 coverage. It felt like a total scam to me, especially since the guy kept probing for details. I just ended the call because it was all a bit fishy and not very convincing.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Aviva, wanting to "update" my life insurance and include cover for covid and other illnesses. Seemed fishy right from the start. I asked a couple of questions but they dodged answering most of them. Then insisted I confirm my birth date and postcode before giving any info. Claimed they'd emailed me too, but I never got anything. Bit dodgy if you ask me. Decided to block the number straight away.

So, a bit back I played along with a caller claiming they were from NHS track and trace. I fed them some made-up info, even said I had a life insurance with Sun Alliance. Then, after about three weeks, out of nowhere Sun Alliance rings me up asking for policy info. I threw out a bogus policy number and the guy on the other end, who had quite a thick foreign accent, snaps back “I’m hanging up now because you’re the scammer.” Ha! Sorry mate, I don’t think that’s on me!

Got a call from someone called Sam at Scottish Widows, wanted to talk about life insurance but I told her I don't have any. I told them I’d just spoke to my actual insurer last week after another call like this, and the person on the phone just stayed silent and then dropped the call.
